WINK. Lashes

I am excited to announce that I am doing Eyelash Extensions! It has been so fun and it has kept me very busy! I have set up a room in my house for clients to receive extensions at ½ the price. You will receive Semi-permanent synthetic eyelashes that are attached - one by one - to your natural lashes and last up to 90 days! If you want to keep them up (which I am sure you will) then it requires that you come in for a ‘fill’ every 4 weeks!

With summer just around the corner I am running a Summer Special for friends and family (including my blogging friends)! If you refer one friend you will receive your FULL SET at 50% off, refer TWO friends and receive a FULL SET for FREE!!

Here are just a few reasons why extensions are so wonderful:
· Look Natural with amazing long eyelashes!
· Saves you time and hassle every morning!
· To make your lashes look amazing without using ANY mascara!
· Spend the summer in the sun? Look beautiful without any makeup on at all!

Love

We are so thankful for all of our Family and Friends and for all the kind words, love, and support that we have been shown! We are excited to share our journey with others and can’t wait for the day that we get to meet our little one. There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t talk about what our experience will be like and how sure we are that this road we are on is part of a WELL thought out plan. I already feel an unconditional amount of love for our Birth Mom and can’t wait to meet her! We are still in the ‘final’ stages of getting everything ready and online but we are almost there! Thanks to all of those who have helped us get this far. But most of all, thanks to my PERFECT husband who has been nothing but amazing! I love you!

Beginning of our Journey

{Faith, Hope, and Prayer}
I feel so blessed to be married to such an amazing person and have a wonderful relationship. I am so happy that we have had 4 years to get to know each other and become best friends. We have always prayed for our future family and have such a strong desire to become parents and teach our children. However, the road set out for us hasn’t been an easy one or one that we would have imagined for ourselves. We have had many ups and downs while trying to add little ones to our family. I have experienced many emotions that I didn’t know existed and I am sure Phil was wondering WHERE his wife was!! I decided to stop worrying so much about it and started to veer my focus elsewhere; on things that I could control. I can’t tell you how many times I have been on my knees begging and pleading for strength. I have had many special experiences and moments that have helped me see beyond MY desires. Feelings that I can’t explain with words have put Phil and I on a new road; a road that I have always felt WE would be on. We have put our adoption papers in with LDS Family Services and pray every day that our baby will find its way safely to our home. We are so excited for our journey ahead!!
Thanks for all the support that our family and friends have shown us. We love you all so much! Please continue to pray for our family.

Holidays

We had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving in Las Vegas with my father and mother-in-law! This year my birthday was on Thanksgiving and it was definitely a very special day. My very sweet mother-in-law Dianne surprised us with a ‘PRINCESS’ theme birthday surprise! Her b-day is on the 25th my sister-in-law’s is on the 26th and mine is on the 27th. How ironic is that! She made our b-day’s very special with adorable princess baskets and the cutest CAKE ever! It was so fun to spend the holiday and our birthdays together! Phil and I stayed at the Red Rock Hotel in an amazing room. I enjoyed a much needed Massage at their beautiful SPA! I woke up the morning of my birthday to a delicious breakfast in bed and a bubble bath that my husband prepared for me! I was definitely spoiled!

Thanksgiving dinner was delicious. Dianne is a great cook and spoiled us with her fine china, silver, and crystal & gold glasses from Prague. Needless to say I was stuffed to gills all day long! We played games, laughed, and enjoyed being with family the entire day! I love the holidays for that reason alone.

Girls Night Out

This girls night out is definitely on the top of my FAVORITE weekend getaways list. Disney on ice, your favorite girls, good company, pedicures, shopping, great food, best friends, no melt downs, feather beds, rock climbing, free activities, chocolate, and great MEMORIES…what more could you ask for?!!!

My mom treated all of us girls to a wonderful night away..NO BOYS! We started out at Disney on Ice, which the girls just adored. We had great seats which made it come to life! After we headed out for some shopping and pedicures! We love to get pedicures every chance we can. You know that you have had one too many pedicures when the 7 year old asks ‘when do we get to go get our toes and nails painted!’ I have a feeling that I have got her hooked!

We went to the OH SO DELICIOUS Melting Pot for dinner! The girls LOVED dipping everything and Ady especially enjoyed the chocolate! My mom booked us a room at the Hotel Monaco..MY FAVORITE. If you haven’t stayed there I highly recommend it, we LOVE it! When we got back to the room we were all stuffed and needed to work off the chocolate so we decided to get our exercise but jumping from bed to bed! We laughed so hard we were crying. Oh the joy of acting like a little kid again!
At the Galiven Center they were hosting a bunch of free activities put on by all the different ski resorts! Kiley did the rock climbing wall and was scaling the rocks like it was nothing. She was better than all the boys!!

What a great weekend! I am so grateful for my sweet mom and sister. I cherish our relationship and look forward to many more memories!

Cute Little Wife..

It's Whitney's birthday today and I just wanted to make a post to tell her that she is such an amazing person. She deserves the best birthday ever because she has worked so hard this year and she still has time to deal with me. That may be the biggest job ever. I can't wait to see what she does with the next year of her life. She always seems to accomplish so much in such a short time. I am very proud of her and I love her so much!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Little Luck! From Hubbs

UNFORGETABLE NIGHT

It doesn't get much better than spending a romantic night away with your husband and friends!Trisha and I planned a fun night away with our hubbies! We had the idea on Thursday and scrambled to find a sitter for their kids so we could have a ‘romantic’ night out! Our date started out with dinner at my company’s condo at the American Towers downtown! Of course the boys had no idea what we were doing we just had them show up at 7:00…as we were walking up to the room they were so confused! We had a yummy candle lit dinner and then headed to the BLUE BOUTIQUE (wink..wink!!) After we went to the Melting Pot for some delicious chocolate fondue and then headed back to the condo to go hot tubing! The hot tub is on the 27th floor and overlooks the city..it was an amazing view! Now keep in mind Trish and I just kept pulling out surprises…but our last surprise WILL NEVER BE TOPPED! As we were all talking in the hot tub a group of boys decided to join us and one of them happened to be, my favorite Jazz player, Kyle Korver! My mouth about dropped…who’s wouldn’t…he is gorgeous! I think Phil was on cloud nine too...he sleeps, eats, and breathes Utah Jazz basketball! After about an hour of chillin with Kyle in the hot tub we headed to his condo to play rock band! That’s right, we played rock band with Kyle Korver until 2AM! He is the nicest guy and was so cool to hang out with. Did I mention he is HOT? I guess we now know what NBA stars do in their spare time…play rock band. He was amazing and I must say I was pretty darn good at singing Alanis while standing next to Kyle jammin on the drums!

A night we will never forget!

he is so tall....keep in mind i am barefoot!

at the top of the American Towers

our best friends..trisha & trevis

*disclaimer: that is not a bottle of wine in Phil's hand...he was worried that some might think it was! we celebrated with the hard stuff...MARTINELLIS APPLE JUICE!

Old Friends

Whitney H. Amy. Me. Mandy. Steph. Natalie
It's always so much fun to hang out with the GIRLS. A few weeks ago some of my long lost dancing gals met up for dinner and girl talk! It was so much fun to see these girls, most of them I haven't seen for 10 years! We all used to dance together at Elite Academy in Salt Lake..us six were on the Elite team together and spent many HOURS...at least 3 or 4 times a week practicing together! We had so much fun watching old dance videos...some from when we were all 9 and 10 years old doing 'PEE-WEE Chearleading!' Thanks girls for a fabulous night!

Catching Up

Today I vow to be a better BLOGGER! Life has been so busy this fall; between full time work and full time school I am on the edge of my seat waiting for the next event of the day! School is fabulous; I absolutely love everything about it. I am on track to graduate in a few short semesters and then hopefully on to get my masters shortly after! This semester is coming to end in three short weeks and I have a lot of final papers still to do! Let’s just say that when it’s time for California I am going to be GOOD AND READY! RockBand Live Concert was a not exactly what I had in mind. Let's just say next time I will wait until Dashboard Confessional is touring SOLO!
October was a busy month and probably one of the warmest that I can remember. We enjoyed a Murder Mystery party hosted by our good friends Rob and Natalie...we will definitely be hosting one next year!
Can you still Trick-or-Treat in your twenties? I guess not...but I managed to solve that problem by stealing my niece Kiley so I could partake of the festivities. What a darling little pirate she is. I think she loved having all of the attention and getting so much more candy than her brothers!

My Favorite Kids

I just wanted to post some pictures of my favorite kids! These little ones are so special to me...I just love them to pieces! Kiley Jean is the most precious 6 year old that I know! Just the sweetest personality! She failed her hearing and eye testing at school this year so my sister had to take her to the district to get tested! Her hearing was perfectly FINE she was just confused about when to raise her hand when hearing the BEEP! Her eye test however she failed and as to get glasses for reading! She was so nervous to wear them to school but I told her that I always wanted to wear glasses and how cool they are...she is now VERY excited!!

Here is my little Austin! I can't believe he is 9 years old. What a stud he is. He is loving playing Competition Baseball and Football this year...he is a natural athlete and is such a kind boy!

Cute Zac! He is a character through and through! He is such a smart boy and loves to play VIDEO GAMES..maybe a little too much! He is starting wrestling this year and I can't wait to see him! He loves playing the piano and is such a natural at it...he basicly plays by ear!

Litte Ady "Sienna"! What a ham...this little girl melts my hear! She loves her Aunt Whitney and always wants to come to my house! Every time I call her house she is in the back ground yelling "i want to talk to aunt whitney!" I LOVE IT!!

I can't wait to give these little ones come COUSINS! Kiley is going to be my BEST babysitter...I can't wait!

Amazing Concert

WOW! I can’t even begin to express how freaking AMAZING the dance concert was last night! First off we had great seats which made it even better because we could see their faces! The show started at 7:30 and didn’t get over until 10:30…yes that’s right 3 amazing hours of dance, oh and TWITCH with his shirt off!! I didn’t really know what to expect, I figured they would do some of the “BEST” routines of the season but had NO idea that they would be doing ALL OF THEM! From the door, to the briefcase, to the bed (yes Twitch), to the Adam & Eve, to the ‘No Air’, to the HOT salsa number, to the guys Russian routine, to the amazing Hip Hop numbers, to the all new Hairspray finale! It was an incredible show. The entire crowd went wild when the three UTAHNS hit the stage..even Phil was excited! Is it normal for me to feel completely depressed now that it’s over? I never wanted it to end. I wanted to go hang out with all of them and just watch them dance over and over again! After the concert I asked Phil if he wanted to travel the Country following them on tour….but here I am at work so I guess that was a NO! So I guess this is it until next year!!!

MORE PICTURES COMING SOON!!!

All My Bags are Packed….

Well this last month has been crazy busy for me! I started fall semester at Weber and I am still working full time in Salt Lake. So my schedule usually starts around 5:00 AM and I am home ready to relax or STUDY at 9:00 PM! Man, I miss my hubby!

School is great, I absolutely LOVE IT. I am in my final year so all of my classes are directly related to what I LOVE so it’s fabulous! I no longer have tests to cram for instead I have 30 page papers to right…hmm, maybe I will go back to cramming!! Hopefully soon I will just go to school full time and life will seem a lot more manageable and relaxing.

So I have thought long and hard about what I can possibly look forward to in December to get me through this semester of school and work! Phil and I love love love to go vacations but with my intense schedule I have been forced to wait until December! We originally were planning to go on a cruise but the more I thought about it the more I wanted to go to Disneyland! WHAT? Disneyland over a cruise…that is exactly what Phil was saying to me! I am like a little kid when it comes to Disneyland, I absolutely love it and I have heard that you can’t beat Christmas time at Disney! So watch out Minnie Mouse here we come! My sister and her family and Phil’s brother and wife are also joining us! I have booked a Condo, Wicked, Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, and the beach! I can’t wait for December to come! So I guess until December…my bags are packed and I’m a ready to go!!!!!!!!

Utah State Fair OR BUST

This last weekend we spent Saturday afternoon and evening at the Good Ole State Fair! If you haven't been to the fair since 1990 don't worry NOTHING has changed! The same pigs, same CARNIVAL rides, same funnel cakes, same 'mexican' trinkets, same crowd!! Don't get me wrong we had a good time but can I just say that the State Fair brings out the best of UTAH! I have never seen so many mulets in my life!! Of course we stayed for the rodeo and had a great time watching the bull riding!

If you haven't made it to the fair yet this year I suppose you better get out your acid wash jeans and cut off tank tops and head on down for a night of people watching!!
