Love

We are so thankful for all of our Family and Friends and for all the kind words, love, and support that we have been shown! We are excited to share our journey with others and can’t wait for the day that we get to meet our little one. There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t talk about what our experience will be like and how sure we are that this road we are on is part of a WELL thought out plan. I already feel an unconditional amount of love for our Birth Mom and can’t wait to meet her! We are still in the ‘final’ stages of getting everything ready and online but we are almost there! Thanks to all of those who have helped us get this far. But most of all, thanks to my PERFECT husband who has been nothing but amazing! I love you!

Beginning of our Journey

{Faith, Hope, and Prayer}
I feel so blessed to be married to such an amazing person and have a wonderful relationship. I am so happy that we have had 4 years to get to know each other and become best friends. We have always prayed for our future family and have such a strong desire to become parents and teach our children. However, the road set out for us hasn’t been an easy one or one that we would have imagined for ourselves. We have had many ups and downs while trying to add little ones to our family. I have experienced many emotions that I didn’t know existed and I am sure Phil was wondering WHERE his wife was!! I decided to stop worrying so much about it and started to veer my focus elsewhere; on things that I could control. I can’t tell you how many times I have been on my knees begging and pleading for strength. I have had many special experiences and moments that have helped me see beyond MY desires. Feelings that I can’t explain with words have put Phil and I on a new road; a road that I have always felt WE would be on. We have put our adoption papers in with LDS Family Services and pray every day that our baby will find its way safely to our home. We are so excited for our journey ahead!!
Thanks for all the support that our family and friends have shown us. We love you all so much! Please continue to pray for our family.

Holidays

We had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving in Las Vegas with my father and mother-in-law! This year my birthday was on Thanksgiving and it was definitely a very special day. My very sweet mother-in-law Dianne surprised us with a ‘PRINCESS’ theme birthday surprise! Her b-day is on the 25th my sister-in-law’s is on the 26th and mine is on the 27th. How ironic is that! She made our b-day’s very special with adorable princess baskets and the cutest CAKE ever! It was so fun to spend the holiday and our birthdays together! Phil and I stayed at the Red Rock Hotel in an amazing room. I enjoyed a much needed Massage at their beautiful SPA! I woke up the morning of my birthday to a delicious breakfast in bed and a bubble bath that my husband prepared for me! I was definitely spoiled!

Thanksgiving dinner was delicious. Dianne is a great cook and spoiled us with her fine china, silver, and crystal & gold glasses from Prague. Needless to say I was stuffed to gills all day long! We played games, laughed, and enjoyed being with family the entire day! I love the holidays for that reason alone.

Girls Night Out

This girls night out is definitely on the top of my FAVORITE weekend getaways list. Disney on ice, your favorite girls, good company, pedicures, shopping, great food, best friends, no melt downs, feather beds, rock climbing, free activities, chocolate, and great MEMORIES…what more could you ask for?!!!

My mom treated all of us girls to a wonderful night away..NO BOYS! We started out at Disney on Ice, which the girls just adored. We had great seats which made it come to life! After we headed out for some shopping and pedicures! We love to get pedicures every chance we can. You know that you have had one too many pedicures when the 7 year old asks ‘when do we get to go get our toes and nails painted!’ I have a feeling that I have got her hooked!

We went to the OH SO DELICIOUS Melting Pot for dinner! The girls LOVED dipping everything and Ady especially enjoyed the chocolate! My mom booked us a room at the Hotel Monaco..MY FAVORITE. If you haven’t stayed there I highly recommend it, we LOVE it! When we got back to the room we were all stuffed and needed to work off the chocolate so we decided to get our exercise but jumping from bed to bed! We laughed so hard we were crying. Oh the joy of acting like a little kid again!
At the Galiven Center they were hosting a bunch of free activities put on by all the different ski resorts! Kiley did the rock climbing wall and was scaling the rocks like it was nothing. She was better than all the boys!!

What a great weekend! I am so grateful for my sweet mom and sister. I cherish our relationship and look forward to many more memories!
